Rodent Control

The first lines of defense against rodent infestations should always be:

Exclusion - To permanently keep rats and mice out of structures, all possible entry points must be sealed.


Sanitation - Sources of food and water must be eliminated, indoors and out.

When there is a current infestation, snap and electric traps can be used. DO NOT use glue traps and NEVER use anticoagulant poison baits. The following is a list of suggested products to be used as indicated. Please research products carefully and always follow label directions exactly.

Raptors Are the Solution - Raptors Are the Solution (RATS) educates people about the ecological role of birds of prey in urban and wild areas and about the danger they face from the widespread use of rat poison.

CLAW Citizens for Los Angeles Wildlife - CLAW works to protect and restore the environments of wildlife of Los Angeles in California from dwindling open spaces. CLAW's mission is to promote, educate and protect the fundamental importance of wildlife, wildlife habitats, and wildlife corridors in Los Angeles and beyond.
