TOXIC PESTICIDES ARE BEING USED IN L.A. PARKS
Documents supplied to our group in 2020 by Recreation and Parks show multiple toxic pesticides are being used in L.A. parks and golf courses.
A product containing the chemical 2,4-D, one of the main ingredients used in Agent Orange, is being applied to the grass where our children and pets play. It is linked to numerous health harms like endocrine disruption and cancer. This product also contains two other toxic herbicides, mecoprop and dicamba. The insecticide indoxacarb is also being used in our parks.

THERE IS HOPE FOR A SOLUTION
The Los Angeles City Council has approved an organic pilot program for three public parks. While we wait for an official starting date, you can take action to stop toxic pesticide use in Los Angeles in the following ways.
